LaBarge was founded in 1940 by William LaBarge Sr. (though one source says Robert and Jean LaBarge) in Holland, Michigan, and began as a residential mirror company purchased from Donnelly Mirrors. The company became known for its high-quality, handcrafted mirrors, often featuring ornate frames in styles like Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, and classical European, which were sold in luxury department stores. The company was sold to Masco Corporation in 1987, and later acquired by Heritage Home Group in 2013, and then by Rock House Farm in 2018.
